Air Traffic Controllers in France Call For Strike

Air traffic controllers called a five-day strike at the end of February that could affect flights over school’s half-term vacations, local sources reported on February 3rd. Four unions representing the workers plan to strike from February 23rd to 27th. The unions say more staff is needed to deal with an increase in air traffic. Meanwhile, the country’s flag carrier promised that a strike by two pilots’ unions planned from February 26th to March 1st will not effect travel plans.
