Air traffic controllers go on strike in France

Flights were canceled at Paris’ two main airports after French air traffic controllers began a five-day strike over job security on February 23rd. Half of the flights in and out of Orly airport and one in four from Charles de Gaulle were canceled.

    A strike by air traffic controllers continued to cause cancellations and delays as it entered its third day on February 25th. Union officials say the strike could last until February 27th. Half of the flights into and out of Paris’ Orly airport were canceled, and 25% were canceled at Charles de Gaulle. Travelers are advised to check with their airline before leaving.
