What To Do If You Missed Your Flight…

If on the way to the airport you are in a car accident or have a flat tire, then don’t worry if you have purchased our Roundtrip or Trip Protector insurance plans.  Simply call the 24 hour assistance telephone number prior to your departure and customer service can begin assisting you find a new flight.

If you didn’t purchase travel insurance, then we recommend contacting the airlines within 2 hours of your scheduled flight time.   Airlines can cancel or rebook you “standby” on a later flight with only a change of ticket fee (around $150 pp). 

We recommend contacting your airline and asking what their “2 hour rule”, “flat tire rule” or cancellation policy is.  Be very polite as reservation agents have the authority to the discretion to make changes as needed and be cogent and honest.  Agents can sympathize with an unexpected flat tire or traffic accident, but are not prone to helping people who didn’t budget enough time to get to the airport.
