Another Reason Not To Buy Black Colored Luggage

At Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, a couple of luggage thieves were caught and detectives think the couple have stolen over 1000 pieces of luggage.  A police officer witnessed the couple walk into the airport to the luggage carousel, pick up a couple of pieces of luggage and walk out.

I saw a couple pictures of the luggage that were found at the house and it looks like 80 – 90% of the bags were black or dark colored.  I don’t have any statistics, but it seems like black is the most popular color of luggage made.  In fact 3 out of the 4 pieces of luggage I own is black.  You would think luggage manufacturers would make a variety of colors, patterns and designs which distinguishes your bags.

You don’t have to strap duck tape around your bags to help identify your bags, but rather a nice set of luggage tags can help you recognize your bags from the masses.  We send you complimentary set of luggage tags when you purchase a travel insurance policy ($100 min.).   It’s our way of saying “Thank You” and these nice tags are big enough to be spotted without being tacky.

MSNBC states “It is an airline’s responsibility to ensure checked bags are returned to their owners.” If you have travel insurance with lost luggage coverage, then you would be reimbursed for lost items if an airlines lost your bags.

We hope your luggage is never stolen or lost, but we help you limit the financial risk with one of our travel insurance policies.
