Reports of flights delays due to an ongoing labor strike at Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport has reported by the local media. Employees launched a strike against the airport management’s decision to abolish a policy of hiring employees’ relatives during the holiday season and offering scholarships.

Finair’s 750 pilots went on strike just after midnight on November 16th, resulting in the cancellation of at least 215 international and domestic flights. The airline recommended that travelers who can postpone their flights do so, but promised to arrange service on alternate carriers for those who could not. At Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, a couple of luggage thieves were caught and detectives think the couple have stolen over 1000 pieces of luggage. A police officer witnessed the couple walk into the airport to the luggage carousel, pick up a couple of pieces of luggage and walk out.
